Created by The House of Rémy Martin in 1874, LOUIS XIII cognac is known the world over as the embodiment of refinement. Generations of Cellar Masters strive to achieve the centuries-old expertise found in each individually numbered, handcrafted decanter – a blend of the most precious eaux-de-vie (French for ‘water of life’) sourced from Grande Champagne, the first cru of the Cognac region.
2: The cognac is anywhere from 40-100 years old, depending on the bottle. The barrels that they age them, are anywhere from 80-120 years old themselves. So it takes over 100 years to make a bottle. Of course they are all produced in limited quantities, like the Louis XIII Black Pearl, 780 bottles only. 3: The bottle itself is a work of art.
